Maria Harrington, is a leading rider, trainer, and coach. She is an FEI trainer and USDF Silver Medalist who has competed through Intermediare I. Maria began her career working with international three-day event rider, Mark Weissbecker, and later focused on dressage with international competitor and German Reitlehrer F.N. Gerd Reuter. Maria, trained extensively with top International coaches including Jan Ebeling, Tina Konyot, Dorothy Morkis, Kathy Connelly, Roel Theunissen, Henk van Bergen, Inge Schmezer, Neil Ishoy and Tom Noone.
Maria has been an instructor at several premiere equestrian centers in Massachusetts, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia. Maria, has also taught regular clinics and judged Pony Club, as well as schooling shows throughout the New England area. Maria, has served NEDA [New England Dressage Association] as a Flextime Instructor, and has coached many riders to USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. Maria trains year round on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts. Her business is based out of Sterling Pointe Farm in Rochester MA and she travels to many other area farms for lessons and clinics. She enjoys working with all levels of riders, all breeds of horses, and all riding disciplines. She conducts lessons on student’s horses and on safe and well-schooled lesson horses.
Maria uses clear and positive teaching methods. She believes in empowering her students to develop their own feel while applying the classical training system to help each achieve personal riding goals.
